First sniff: Creamy cake
First puff: Warm graham cracker cereal.
With time: Dessert. Possibly waffle cone + ice-cream?
I bought this a few weeks ago after reading many reviews comparing it to Dr. Fog, which is my holy grail brand. Someone said it was a dupe for M&H (Milk & Honey) which was sold out at the time, so I took a plunge into Crave hoping maybe it would be a cheaper alternative.
First of all, this is NOT a dupe for M&H, but is a good dupe for Scoops (Dr. Fog). Second, Crunch is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. It totally exceeded my expectations and I fell in love with it the moment I first tried it. I would EASILY rate it a Top 3, if not an ATF.
If only......
....it didn't burn my pods.
In fact, 10 days in I realized it was difficult to vape, and much cooler than I'm used to (and I prefer a cool vs warm vape) -- come to find out, the sweetener had clogged my coil so bad that it had triggered a higher resistance.
Instead of vaping a 0.6ohm at 21 watts, it had become a 0.9ohm with max wattage of 15. Another few days later, it deteriorated even worse and suddenly my pod was reading as a 1.2ohm and I couldn't even get a puff. I chucked it, filled a new one, and within 3 days it started turning my e-juice brown, and the cycle repeated. Went from 0.6ohms to 0.9ohms in a week.
The same happened with Loopy, though the process took a wee bit longer.
I'm not used to cycling through pods so quickly -- not since upgrading to a G3 Pro and G3 pods over a year ago. The main difference between this and my usual Dr. Fog is that the latter is so good on coils that I can typically get 5+ weeks out of a pod. (Once I even got 3 months + a few days).
Cycling through pods every 1-2 weeks reminds me of the old days with G pods and Lemon Drop, and I'm not having it. I refuse to have to go through this every time I use Crunch. Even a 0.4ohm wouldn't save this e-juice. It would just prolong the inevitable.
And it's unfortunate because it is quite literally the best vape I've ever tasted. The perfect dessert vape, the perfect morning vape, the perfect after-dinner vape... the perfect ADV. The taste of graham crackers and cream dances on my pallet and fills my mouth with warm sweetness.
If only that sweetness wasn't derived from actual sucralose, in which case, we'd have the PERFECT vape in Crave's Crunch.
Until then, I'll default to my go-tos -- Scoops and M&H.
The extra $2-$4 for premium e-juice is easier to swallow than an extra $15-$20 in pods ($5 each).
**Used with Caliburn G3 Pro with a 0.6ohm GPP pod at ~21 watts.**
